At the airport transfer reservation desk in Irvine, a request becomes a reserved car once you say yes
The airport transfer reservation desk in Irvine turns a request into a written answer. It reads the load, works out the car size and asks local car companies for a car at that hour. When one is free, it sends that company's fixed fare; your yes reserves the ride with that company, which confirms under its own name, drives and takes payment.
Each booking the desk passes on goes to one local company whose permits were looked up first. That company puts its name on the confirmation, drives and collects your fare, which holds the same flat fee every company owes the desk per completed ride.

Requests in, written fares out
A request, sent through the reservation form or by phone while the line is open, gives the date, pickup time, town, airport, riders and a count of what they carry. From that count the desk works out the smallest car for the load: a sedan for up to 3 riders, an SUV for up to 6, or an SUV with its third row folded for up to 4 with long gear laid flat. Each request is for one car; see what fits in each size.
Until the rider says yes, companies asked about a car see only the ride: date, time, pickup town, airport, riders, load and any child seats, extra stop or longer wait the rider asks for. The written fare goes out by text, and by email when the rider gives an address. After the yes, the booking, the note and the rider's name, phone and email go to that company alone, and its written confirmation lists:
- the company's name and its state permit number
- the car size and the fare
- the meeting point, down to the door at LAX
- the company's number to call on the day you ride
Permits looked up, conditions in writing
Before a ride is passed on, the desk looks up the company named in the written fare. It makes sure the company's state passenger-carrier permit is active and in good standing with the state, and that the company holds a permit for the airport the ride goes to. Each look-up is filed in the desk's record with that request.
A company receives rides from the desk only after it accepts these conditions in writing, and it sets its own fare within them:
- a fare for the ride itself at or below the figure printed for that town, airport and car size
- extras the rider asks for named on their own lines, with the whole written fare at most $250 for the car, one way
- free waiting: 15 minutes at the pickup address, 60 minutes after a domestic landing, 90 after an international arrival
- no charge for canceling up to 6 hours before the pickup time
- nothing owed by the rider if the company cancels or its car does not come
- the same flat fee to the desk for each ride it completes
A flat fee from the company, none from you
The rider pays the company, by card during the ride or in the way its confirmation sets out. This site collects no money, the quote is free with no obligation, and riders owe the desk nothing: each company pays the desk the same flat fee for each ride it completes, inside its fare and never as a line added to it.
Each figure the site prints covers the ride itself for one town, airport and car size, and it is the most a company may charge through the desk for that ride: from Irvine, a sedan to John Wayne Airport is at most $110 for the car, one way. Extras you ask for, a child seat, an extra stop or a longer wait, are named on their own lines in the written fare, on top of the figure, and the whole written fare stays within $250 for the car. The figure holds the drive, fuel, tolls, the airport's fee for the trip and any service charge. See the fare tables.
Where requests are read, and how to get in touch
Written fares go out and look-ups are recorded from the office. Visits are by arrangement: ask through the contact page or on the phone. A complaint about a ride comes here by phone or email; the desk passes it to the company on the day it arrives and answers the rider in writing.
The reservation form takes requests at any hour. A written reply follows within two hours, counting only the hours the phone is open, and a request sent while the phone is closed is read when it opens. The reply carries one company's fixed fare when a car of that size is free at that hour, and says so when none is. Bags, waiting and canceling are covered among the questions about airport transfers in Irvine.
Name on the paperwork
The desk belongs to Classic Car Cruise LLC, a limited liability company. The company details on this page give its street address, phone number and email addresses, with the road miles to all three airports.
Fare figures set on September 27, 2026, from the fares that car companies in the area publish. A company's written fare for the ride itself, for the same town, airport and car size, is the same or lower; extras you ask for are listed on their own lines.
